Hey Kids! My name is Makimsey Morris and I teach 9th grade English. I am super excited to have you in my class and I know we're going to have a great year.
Originally from Commerce, Ga, I spent 4 years at the University of Georgia where I received a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in English Education with an Interdisciplinary Writing Certificate and an emphasis in creative writing in 2016. In 2018 I went back to UGA to get my Masters in English Education.
A former member of the greatest marching band there is, the Redcoat Band, I have learned to spend every free moment I have cheering on the dawgs. In the rare moments that I'm not watching UGA sports, I enjoy delicious Chinese food, hiking, reading and playing golf.
