About Buford
Buford High School is located in Buford, Georgia and is the anchor school of the Buford City School System. Buford High School opened on Hill Street in 1949, and has been at its current location on Sawnee Avenue since 1990. The new, state-of-the-art Buford High School campus opened in August 2019, and is designed to enhance the three pillars of its vision: Academics, Athletics, and the Arts. According to the College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCPRI), Georgia’s report card for a school’s yearly performance, Buford High School’s overall school score is 91.2. The total enrollment at BHS is 1,918, and the diversity of the student body includes 45.72% White, 27.72% Hispanic, 13.18% Black, 7.98% Asian, and 5.3% Multiracial students. The school colors at Buford are Kelly Green, Vegas Gold, and White.
